What is a Domain Name?

Basically, a domain name is the unique name of your website. It's what people need to type into their browser to visit your website.

Domain names will usually look something like this: www.yourcompany.com. When purchasing a domain name, there are two elements of the name within your control. In the previous example -

1. "yourcompany" - which may be your company name or any word or combination of words (without spaces), and
2. ".com" - which may be ".net", ".com.au", "co.uk", or some other suffix. This suffix sometimes hint's at the nature of what the website represents and/or where it is from. (ie. .com = company, .org = organisation, .com.au = company in australia etc.)

With your chosen domain name, you can do two things - for example, we have www.itomic.com - with it, we can:

1. We can have a website address of www.itomic.com
2. We can have e-mail addresses ending with '@itomic.com', such as: info@itomic.com, sales@itomic.com, jane@itomic.com, or fred.bloggs@itomic.com.

Registration and Management Services Pricing

The prices listed below include the registration and management of your domain name. As part of our comprehensive domain name management service, we will:

• Advise you which domain name - or names - are right for your organisation and/or products and services (and inform you why).
• Check their availability (and expiration date if possible).
• Attempt to register 'already registered' domain names for you if/when they become available on the open market.
• Advise you when your existing domain names are due for renewal (and check that you want to renew them).

Australian Domain Names

Our rate for Australian domain names is:

• $130 for two years.

Australian domain names can only be registered for 2 year periods.

Mainstream Domain Names

Our rates for common non-Australian domain names vary with the number of years registered at once. The more years we register for you, the lower the cost per year. Hence, the price ranges from:

• $30 per year for a registration of ten years, to
• $65 per year for a single year of registration.

Other Country Level and Less Common Domain Names

Our rate for other country level and less common domain names varies. We will provide a price on application.
